First Mile was announced as a finalist for the best business services award at this year’s prestigious London Loves Excellence Awards.
The awards acknowledge London companies providing outstanding services to the business community, with particular recognition for superb customer service, innovation and sustainability, ethics and values.
In 2014 we worked with over 13,000 brilliant London businesses, helping them to keep the city green by recycling over 70% of their waste, sending nothing to landfill and providing 24/7/365 customer service support. We hunted out new, innovative partnerships with companies like bio-bean and TRAID to widen the range of materials we can recycle. Plus we continued our important charity work with the Small Steps Project and Crisis at Christmas.
The awards were celebrated on 15th October and we were sadly pipped to the post for the trophy, but we look forward to another successful year making London greener by making it easier than ever for businesses to recycle.
